Do you consider yourself an Old Soul?
What about an extra-terrestrial soul?
Have you ever thought you may come from somewhere else?
Perhaps there's something about Planet Earth that feels a little off to you...
Are you a Wanderer?

What is a Wanderer?
Wanderers are extra-terrestrial souls.
Old souls who originated on other planets, in other solar systems or even other galaxies, and who've chosen to come to Earth and help out.
As we grow spiritually, spiralling our way up through the densities and their lessons, we strive to learn by serving others. Naturally, there comes a point when acceptance, wisdom, understanding and truth begin to blend into unity.
On our spiritual path home towards infinity, the desire to serve is increased. Some beings choose to turn back and wander off , following a call for help.
In the Law of One, these are the Wanderers.
Advanced souls from higher realms that choose to return to 3rd density.
Where do Wanderers come from?
Wanderers come from all over the Universe.
In a spiritual sense, they come from higher densities. Most wanderers come from the 6th and 5th density of consciousness.
Our angelic realms. They hold a deep wisdom from 5th density and are in the process of balancing that with love and understanding.
The higher realms naturally require a purity of self. Therefore most wanderers come from late fifth density and sixth density as the need for balance and unity happens.
There are some who come from 4th density but this is rare.
Souls at this level are just not ready to take on the task of being a wanderer. What's even more uncommon are negatively-oriented wanderers. They are few and far between.
The Vast Majority are Positively-Oriented Beings
You don't really get "negative" wanderers. As I mentioned, most come from 6th density. This level of awareness is that of the Law of One - unity. It's where both the negative and positive spiritual paths have been walked and beings at this level have come out the other side and are unifying all experience. Polarity ceases to exist.
There is Great Risk in Deciding to Become a Wanderer.
Choosing to come back to this third density of ours means choosing to be on an equal playing field.
Our realm here in third density is a veiled one, meaning we don’t usually have access to the other side.
Simply put, when a wanderer chooses to come back and incarnate in 3rd density, they lose their abilities, can’t remember their past lives and forget what they chose to come and do/learn.
Therefore, there are hardly any negative wanderers. The negative path is a selfish one and they do not risk the forgetting.
Why do Wanderers Decide to Come Back and Help?
There are 3 reasons why wanderers choose to come back.
- The main reason is to help in the harvest by raising the planetary vibration.
By having more advanced souls around, more catalyst is generated and people tend to learn a bit quicker. Wanderers promote spiritual growth by their very nature. Others attune to their vibration and are uplifted in their presence.
The other two reasons relate more to the wanderer itself:
- The ability for faster growth and stronger polarisation in 3rd density.
- To repeat a lesson for a more perfect balance.
Third density is intense and profound. Life may seem overwhelming and troubling, yet this experience is highly sought after in the higher realms due to its potential for exponential spiritual growth.
Ra says that Third density is where most work in consciousness is done.
That’s huge!
Earth/ 3D is a school. There is so much catalyst here, so much opportunity for growth. In the eyes of a wanderer, it is an absolute privilege to be here incarnated on earth.
It is unimaginably more harmonious in the higher densities, which sounds wonderful. By nature there is less hardship and so one looks back to third density to properly polish off some less than perfect lessons.
Piercing the Veil
By choosing to become a wandering spirit, a Brother or Sister of Sorrow, to dive back into a third density experience, third density conditions must be accepted.
This means the wanderer forgets who they are as they enter back into the veiled realm of forgetting.
Read my post here on: The Veil of Forgetting in the Law of One
If the wanderer manages to pierce said veil and remember, the three main goals can be worked on:
Dedicating oneself to service, raising the planetary vibration and repeating certain lessons for a more unified, wholesome being.
The Symptoms of a Wanderer
It’s not easy being a wanderer. It is a privilege to be incarnated in this third density reality although it’s not a breeze as one might think.
Coming from the more coherent, balanced higher realms and jumping back into the 3d mix has its effects. Physically, mentally and spiritually.
Firstly, the physical. Extremely common side-effects among wanderers are allergies.
Food, animals, pollen… you name it.
This is the body's way of showing resistance to being here.
Wanderers may also incarnate with certain physical ailments too. The perceived "lack" of something will encourage you to appreciate other aspects of your life, experiencing gratitude... perhaps that is a part of your lesson.
Secondly, in the mental sense, many get caught up in complex mind activity.
Overthinking.
Getting lost in thought leads to anxiety and separation with your body. It's always good to practice being present.
And finally the spiritual side...
There's an inkling deep inside that something just feels off... a strangeness to the Earth and its people. A subtle sense of something's missing or belonging somewhere else.
This feeling of disconnect or perhaps that something feels off about this planet and its people can be dangerous. Personality disorders can develop.
With that said, there are so many aspects to life here that may cause distress, pain and suffering. Each of these moments are catalysts or opportunities for service and learning.
To paraphrase Ra:
Whatever the situation, there is always a vortex, however small, of peace, love, light and joy. To ignore that is to turn ones back and forget the infinite possibilities of the present moment.
The Biggest Challenge for a Wanderer
These ailments, personality disorders and allergies are just “negative” reactions to being here.
All they do is get in the way of service.
They get in the way of what you came to do. Their purpose is to help you awaken to that and they can be healed through intelligent infinity!
They are meant to act as catalyst to wake you up to your purpose.
This is the biggest challenge for the wanderer.
That it gets caught up in the drama.
That it becomes karmically involved, trips on its path, forgets its mission and gets sucked into the problem it chose to solve.
Like I said, it’s not easy.
Target on my Back
Wanderers are high priority targets for the Orion group a.k.a the negative polarity or the service to self path.
What this means is that the more you polarise and attune to your purpose and spiritual path, the more of a threat you become to the “other side”.
This may appear as a negative greeting. An informal invitation to switch sides and to choose to react rather than respond, for example.
Rather than getting lost and feeling disempowered by the eventual negative experience, cordially reject the offer of control and separation and reaffirm your positive intentions by choosing to serve.
It may feel like a constant struggle, and it is. The quicker you accept your reality, the quicker you can grow and start to help others and share the love.
How many Wanderers are here on Earth?
In the early 80s when the Law of One books were written, there were roughly 65 million wanderers on Earth.
That was about 1.5% of the population at the time. I wouldn’t be surprised if that percentage has doubled or even tripled by now.
Ra says that there were a few that came in 50,000 years ago and more in the last 25,000 year cycle.
The vast majority have come for the harvest. That means now.
Seniority of Vibration
This is a type of sorting system for souls.
Like gas bubbles in liquid, the ones that are more likely to succeed rise to the challenge. The best and brightest souls are chosen and are allowed to become wanderers. The goal being to pierce the veil and to remember their mission and who they are.
Another way of looking at this is: if you are here as a wanderer, you have the capability of remembering who you are and awakening to your mission.
Ra stated that 8 or 9% of wanderers had managed to do this at that time of writing. Over 50% of the rest had developed some type of “symptom” indicating that they were not of this “sanity”.
That means there was a certain feeling of alienation, a feeling of “I don't fit in here”.
The last third of the remainder of wanderers were aware that something about them was different.
There are different levels or gradients of awakening.
How do Wanderers Help the Planet?
There are a few ways that wanderers help the planet. However, there aren’t specific targets to achieve. Ra says that Light and Love go where they are called and that the direction is not planned.
That said, the general mission for wanderers is to lighten the planet and to serve.
This alleviates the effects of planetary disharmony and confusion. Wanderers come from a place of love, light and harmony and once they’ve awakened to their potential, their mere presence is enough to lighten the mood, situation or place.
Wanderers have three basic functions once the forgetting has been penetrated and they have been activated:
- To serve. Radiating light and love.
- To act as a beacon or shepherd, guiding others through their spiritual example.
- To express their unique talents and gifts and share them with others.
How is a Wanderer Activated?
Wanderers are contacted by the Confederation of Planets In the Service of The Infinite Creator.
These are guides and they are constantly watching over and offering opportunities for contact.
There is a catch, though...
The Confederation operates firmly within the first distortion of the Law of One - The Law of Free will.
They will not break this law, therefore close encounters are extremely rare.
In fact, most close encounters are done by the Orion group - the negative path.
In these cases, fear is installed. Confusion and separation. This is where you get stories of abductions.
The Confederation, on the other hand, much prefers to respect free will by attempting to contact via thought-forms, inner voices, synchronicities and dreams.
This is why dream work is so important.
The confederation activates the wanderer subtly through the conscious and unconscious.
They do not want to create a fearful situation.
The goal is to create a feeling of being awakened or activated while honouring free will.
This is a flexible method which leaves the individual with a personal sense of being contacted or activated. A subjective activation. This could happen through a series of synchronicities that only carry meaning for you. A dream of epic proportions or perhaps mysterious phenomena witnessed in the sky accompanied with telepathic messages - one of my favourites.
How do I Know if I'm a Wanderer?
There are a few indications that you may be a Wanderer, such as the symptoms mentioned above. The subtle sense of alienation, the allergies that are symbolic of adjusting to a planet and a way of living that may feel foreign.
The truth is, though, I cannot tell you if you are a wanderer or not.
Just like with anything in life, the answers lie within.
Ask yourself.
True knowing comes from the heart.
Self-reflection, meditation and connection with yourself brings answers in beautiful ways.
You hold the key to the Universe and that is the Law of One.
My Wanderer Awakening
As a child, I was always comfortable being by myself. I'd play alone in my room for hours, although I never felt lonely.
There has always been a comforting presence with me. Getting to sleep at night was sometimes hard, I'd hear a lot of voices as I was falling asleep, they would merge into a type of static or white noise that would increase in volume and became quite overwhelming at times...
After falling asleep, though, I'd have epic dreams of levitating, flying and visiting far away, magical lands that felt so real to me.
Without realising, I was connecting to the astral realms and higher densities.
I Believe I Can Fly
The film Space Jam came out when I was 7 years old. I instantly fell in love with that film and with basketball.
My parents bought me a basketball net that was screwed to the wall outside the house, and I'd play in the garden, shooting hoops.
I enjoyed recreating the first few minutes of the film and reciting the lines where young Michael Jordan is with his Dad talking about his aspirations and dreams.
His Dad says that "if you get good enough, you can do anything you want to... Even Fly!"
Subconsciously that film struck a chord with me. I didn't realise at the time, I was just a kid enjoying playing basketball.
However, in retrospect, the themes resonate deep inside - dreams of flying and extra-terrestrials coming to Earth... if you've seen the film you'll get it!
In terms of numerology, Michael Jordan and I share the same Life Path - 11, which is considered a master number and quite rare. Also, Michael's iconic number 23 appears constantly in my life as a synchronicity, adding to my personal connection.
Films Are Like Dreams
Watching a film is very much like dreaming. You get comfortable, the lights go down, images begin to appear in front of your eyes and before you know it, you're immersed and invested in a symbolic story.
Most films with ETs in them carry a negative propaganda.
Evil Aliens.
I know there are negative ones out there. They do exist, I can guarantee you that. The vast majority are positive, angelic types, though. It's just that Hollywood doesn't promote them nearly as much.
In fact, even in Space Jam, a children's movie, the ETs are negative, conquering and controlling.
Films and dreams can have an immense impact on us and affect our psyche. "Aliens are evil and bad" was a subliminal thought I carried with me for about 10 years. I dissociated any notion of positively-oriented extra-terrestrials because I held that belief and society pretty much did the same.
The Law Of One Changed Everything
It wasn't until a friend told me about the Law of One, and I stumbled upon a David Wilcock video...
He was being interviewed and he was talking about his childhood experiences. I related to so much he was saying. Dreams of flying saucers, being contacted by higher beings, visiting magical realms and spiritual ascension.
It was the first time I was listening to someone openly speak about positive ETs. He said that the Universe is filled with positive angelic beings that love us more than we could ever know. Our cosmic cousins that are always there, behind the scenes, guiding us through life. His words hit me hard and I began sobbing tears of joy, a huge emotional release.
It All Made Sense
Finally someone was speaking my language!... One that I hadn't yet learnt to express myself... He was reminding me of my galactic essence.
I felt the truth deep in my heart, pounding out, reverberating through my body and causing uncontrollable tears.
In that moment, it was like flipping a switch. I realised that I wasn't native to Earth. I originated somewhere else... How had I forgotten?
My very own personal A-ha moment.
An epiphany if you will.
I remember pausing the video, and just crying for a while.
It was the middle of the night and everyone was asleep. I felt an urge to go outside, so I made my way downstairs, slid open the french doors and stepped into the pitch-black garden. I looked up and the stars were out in full force, shining as bright as ever for me.
Still crying, I basked in gratitude under the night sky. I felt connected and whole for the first time.
My favourite constellations smiling down on me as I beamed back to them with a smile, grateful that they've always been there watching over me.
This Wandering Day (Poppy’s Song): A Song for Wanderers
As a huge Lord of the Rings fan, I've journeyed through Middle-earth more times than I can count— always via the extended versions of the films, of course.
The epic saga, with its perfect representation of the Hero's journey across various characters, never ceases to captivate. It's a narrative that continues to unfold and renew its magic with every viewing.
In 2022, the legacy of Tolkien's world expanded with the release of "The Rings of Power" series. It was in the fifth episode that "This Wandering Day (Poppy’s Song)" emerged, striking a resonant chord with fans around the globe.
The song serves as an emotional anchor, capturing the essence of the series and delivering the depth of feeling that viewers craved.
For me, listening to "This Wandering Day (Poppy’s Song)" for the first time just floored me emotionally. It echoed the very core of my being, as I'm sure it did for many others.
It’s as if it was written with the Law of One in mind, and I’ll give you my interpretation of the lyrics from a Wanderer’s perspective.
Below you can find the lyrics, a video of the song, and my interpretation.
This Wandering Day Lyrics
The sun is fast fallin' beneath trees of stone
The light in the tower, no longer my home
Past eyes of pale fire, black sand for my bed
I trade all I've known for the unknown ahead
Call to me, call to me lands far away
For I must now wander this wandering day
Away I must wander this wandering day
Of drink I have little, and food I have less
My strength tells me, "No", but the path demands, "Yes"
My legs are so short and the way is so long
I've no rest nor comfort, no comfort but song
Sing to me, sing to me lands far away
Oh, rise up and guide me this wandering day
Please, promise to find me this wandering day
At last comes their answer through cold and through frost
That not all who wonder or wander are lost
No matter the sorrow, no matter the cost
That not all who wonder or wander are lost

Interpretation of This Wandering Day (Poppy’s Song) Lyrics
I see this song as three distinct sections, so I’ll go over each.
First Section: Hearing the Call.
The sun is fast fallin' beneath trees of stone
The light in the tower, no longer my home
Past eyes of pale fire, black sand for my bed
I trade all I've known for the unknown ahead
Call to me, call to me lands far away
For I must now wander this wandering day
Away I must wander this wandering day
The fading sun represents the end of a cycle, like our third density cycle.
This is usually when higher density beings hear a call— a spiritual cry for help — and choose to become wanderers.
The wanderer leaves behind the "light in the tower," their place of enlightenment, high above like a tower, to embrace the darkness of the unknown – a metaphor for the 3rd density with its challenges and opportunities for growth.
This involves forgetting who you are, taking a risk and trusting in yourself to wake up to your spiritual potential.
Second Section: Catalyst of Third Density
Of drink I have little, and food I have less
My strength tells me, "No", but the path demands, "Yes"
My legs are so short and the way is so long
I've no rest nor comfort, no comfort but song
Sing to me, sing to me lands far away
Oh, rise up and guide me this wandering day
Please, promise to find me this wandering day
This second section represents life in third density and the confrontation with the stark realities of life behind the veil.
Food and drink symbolise the spiritual nourishment that is often lacking in a world where the veil of forgetting obscures the memory of one's divine origins and purpose.
In an intriguing reversal of roles, whereas the higher being initially hears the call to service in the first section, it is now the wanderer, incarnated and veiled in third density, who sends out a call.
This call is not one of distress but of yearning and seeking.
"My legs are so short and the way is so long" metaphorically reflects the wanderer's hardships, difficulties, and the spiritual catalyst they encounter, all in the hopes of awakening to their true potential.
Despite the physical and spiritual challenges, the wanderer possesses a deep inner yearning, a call for guidance that transcends the limitations imposed by their current existence.
The word "sing" is significant—it’s an invocation to the higher densities, a plea for the celestial harmonies of spiritual love and wisdom to resonate within the wanderer's being.
Music, as a metaphor for spirituality, becomes the wanderer's solace and connection to the divine.
The wanderer's request, "Sing to me, sing to me lands far away," is a powerful acknowledgment of their enduring link to the higher realms.
It is a call to the self that remembers, to the guides and companions of the soul, to provide direction and reassurance on this solitary journey.
The wanderer seeks not just to be found but to be reminded of their inherent unity with all that is, to be reawakened to the cosmic symphony from which they have voluntarily stepped away.
They are now the ones initiating the call, illustrating the dynamic and reciprocal nature of spiritual evolution and service.
Final Section: Waking Up
At last comes their answer through cold and through frost
That not all who wonder or wander are lost
No matter the sorrow, no matter the cost
That not all who wonder or wander are lost
Here the wanderer's journey reaches a pivotal moment of awakening.
The "cold and through frost" symbolises the spiritual catalysts that have been endured—harsh, biting, yet ultimately transformative.
These challenges have not been in vain— they have been instrumental in the process of waking up to a deeper understanding of the self and the universe.
The phrase "not all who wonder or wander are lost" is such a profound affirmation of the wanderer's purpose and a real tear jerker…
Wonder, in this context, has two meanings...
It is the awe and amazement at the beauty and complexity of creation.
And it is the deep, introspective desire to know oneself—to understand one's nature as an aspect of the Creator.
The wanderer, though seemingly adrift, is never truly lost.
Each step taken away from the source is also a step toward it, a paradoxical journey that deepens the wanderer's awareness and capacity to serve.
“No matter the sorrow, no matter the cost” — This blew my mind the first time I heard it, because it’s directly referencing the Law of One.
Wanderers are called “Brothers and Sisters of Sorrow” by Ra and this line echoes the sentiment and recognises the wanderers' dual role in experiencing and alleviating the suffering inherent in the third density.
The sorrow felt is not just personal— it is a shared burden, a catalyst for the wanderer's mission to serve and enlighten others.
The repetition of the line "That not all who wonder or wander are lost" serves as a powerful mantra— It reaffirms the wanderer's path as one of deliberate and meaningful exploration.
It is a declaration that the wanderer's presence in third density is intentional, guided by a desire to assist others in their own awakening and to expand their own consciousness through the myriad experiences of life.
This final section for me simply encapsulates the essence of the wanderer's journey: the trials faced, the sorrows shared, and the ultimate realisation that every challenge is an opportunity for growth and service.
The wanderer understands that their wandering is not aimless but is a part of a grand design, a deliberate act of love and a testament to the unending quest for knowledge and unity with the Creator.
What does it Mean to be a Wanderer?
Yes, I consider myself a wanderer. A soul that is from elsewhere.
Does that make me better or worse than anyone else?
No.
It's not something that I need you to recognise or even acknowledge. It's a personal subjective knowing that helps me on my spiritual path.
Coming to terms with it on my own has brought me clarity and propelled me spiritually.
It doesn't actually matter!
If I am an ET soul, then I realise I chose to come here and I honour that choice.
What really matters is helping others... and being there for them when they need you, with an open heart.

Oh wow, you have done a amazing service to all of our brothers and sisters on Gaia at this to breakdown most parts of RA’s teachings. I’m delighted to hear that you have been awakened and on your journey to service to our infinite creator. I’m sure by now you have already learned what’s your souls vibration rate. I recently found mine by a akashic reader. It gives immense pleasure to be at service to our brothers and sisters of all densities. Lets send love to all of brothers and sisters of all densities and polarities.
Thank you for your message and your service! ❤️
I have almost identical experience as you when I was a kid. For lack of better term I considered myself Starseed, never knew we were called Wanderers. I identified with the term Watcher as I am always a bit off and it is hard for me still to connect fully to the reality, even nature and its beauty. Most of the time I see, but I do not feel it fully and it is painful experience, the sense of not belonging. My family used to say that I am an old soul and admitted that they do not really understand me 🙂 I was desperately searching what the reason may be as I had visions and insigth for extraterestial races ( especially Vega and Andromeda) and still something felt off. I have some of the characteristics of angelic souls, but still not relly it. I also went to 3 regressions, that helped a lot. They revealed that I am incarnating on Earth for the first time so I have no memory or experience in this density. My memories and my visions lead me to a place of exsistence where I can not clearly identify any particular race or place. As I kid I had this constant feeling that I am connected and part of something not of this world, I was always conviced in the exsistance of God and felt my connection with Him, but I had really different concept of it. I remember, I was maybe 12 when on my way to the church I grabbed a stone off the ground and started chanting “God is in the rock”. I had quite a journey of remembering before I can feel some kind of comfort and peace. At one point I was overwhelmed with a strong sense of responsibility and was really critical of myself. It took me 5 years intense work to come to terms with the fact that I am only human now and I just need to be better at it, I am allowed to make mistakes. Thank you for sharing your story, I am sure it will reach many and will bring them comfort and understanding of their nature.
Thank you for your comment Tania and for sharing your story
Life is a journey and perhaps at this moment we are not meant to fully understand it all ❤️
I am a Wanderer. I am found. Thank you for your service, brother.
This is the original post that me to this blog. I’d been told I was a starseed and while the alienation, feeling of deep desire to explore and well, wander! felt true, it still didn’t feel right. Listening and reading Law of One content, I recently awakened the last little bit from me great slumber as I call it.
I am a Wanderer.
Sam, it’s sooooo good to meet you! Pls keep writing, I feel like I’ve found kin after thinking I’ve been an orphan for 50+ yrs ✨️
Thanks for sharing and for the lovely comment
I wrote it from the heart and I’m glad you’ve found it ❤️
Great to meet you too!
Great information, thank you. Very interesting and synchronized in my life at the perfect time. Much love Sam!
Thank you! Synchronicity is a beautiful thing. Glad I could be of service ❤️
Beautifully explained – we are all individual free spirited ascending energies, and so loneliness is only a choice where a lonely path can lead to abundance, love and light once service to others is embraced.
Thank you and yes, wise words!
♡
We’re lucky to have wanderers around to lighten the planet ❣️
