Candle magic is a timeless practice embedded in our daily lives.
A classic example is blowing out birthday candles: Setting your intentions, making a wish, and letting the divine force of fire work its magic.
Light is the manifestation of energy in its simplest form.
It holds information and has the power to carry divine intention, making candle magic a potent tool for transformation.
In the sacred practice of Divine Magic, the flicker of a candle channels celestial energy.
Overview of the Seven Sacred Flames
As an initiated fire mage, my journey began with the first degree of Divine Magic, guided by the teachings of Master Rubens Saraceni.
This initiation marked the beginning of an extraordinary adventure into the heart of Divine Magic. It's where I learned to wield the power of the Seven Sacred Flames to cleanse, heal, and manifest transformation.
The Divine Magic of the Seven Sacred Flames, also known as Fire Magic or Candle Magic, forms the foundational bedrock of this mystical practice.
This first degree of Divine Magic is not just an introduction— it is the gateway to understanding the profound energies that govern our universe and serves as the foundation for all other degrees of magic.
The Seven Sacred Flames represent the basic fundamentals of magical writing, which relate to the Thrones of God.
In this degree, magicians learn the symbols, signs, sigils, colours, and vibrations associated with each Throne.
They learn how to summon and work with the Spirit of Fire.
They also master the art of constructing magic spaces, such as mandalas, cabalas, and “drawn points,” using white chalk, sacred geometry, candles, and other consecrated elements.
This magical practice was first opened to the world by Master Rubens Saraceni, whose goal was to initiate 7,777 students into its mysteries.
My aunt is one of these first 7,777 fire mages initiated into this practice.
Nowadays, there must be tens of thousands of fire mages, with other master teachers sharing Rubens' initial teachings through his mystery school.
Divine Magic can only be used for good.
Because it involves connecting with the highest divine forces and the Thrones of God, it cannot be performed for evil purposes.
No black magic here.
Becoming an Initiated Magician allows you to become a divine conduit that can cleanse and purify environments, discharge negative energies, cut harmful hexes and negative demands, perform remote treatments, and facilitate healings… All through the highest divine power of the Universe.
The photo above is from one of my aunt's consecration ceremonies. Once you graduate and become a fire mage, a consecration ceremony finalises the practice.
To me, it looks like the Spirit of Fire rising up in the centre of the magic space.

Each coloured candle holds a specific frequency, aligning with the energies of the divine thrones they represent.

With great power comes great responsibility— as famously noted by both Voltaire and Spiderman.

The divine forces work only with those who have undergone the necessary initiations, ensuring that the power is wielded with wisdom and integrity.
Attempting to invoke these divine energies without proper initiation can lead to karmic repercussions.

Within the practice of this degree of Divine Magic, opening a magic space is fundamental.
A magic space is a sacred area, often a circle, that has been consecrated through ritualistic invocations and evocations.
These spaces act as portals, where divine thrones and deities are activated in a magical way.
While some aspects of fire magic can be performed mentally or through specific spells, the bulk of candle magic is practised within these consecrated areas.
Within these spaces, we install certain “determinations,” which are like instructions for the magic to follow.
The term “magic space” is an overarching term for mandalas, cabalas, or “pontos riscados” (scratched or written points), each serving as a point of power.
Mandala: A space with one divinity.
Cabala: A space with multiple divinities.
These magical spaces are crafted using symbols, sigils, geometry, and candles representing the divine thrones, transforming them into potent centres of divine energy.
By constructing and working within these sacred spaces, fire mages can channel and work with the powerful energies of the Seven Sacred Flames for healing and transformation.
The Mystical Art of working with Divine Fire Magic
The fire mage learns an array of determinations, spells, and evocations. Each a step into the realm of the unseen.
Calling upon the guardians of the flame and the Spirit of Fire is no mere act—it requires a profound initiation.
Working with this spirit is a powerful experience, a communion with the elemental force that breathes life into every flicker.
In the practice of The Seven Sacred Flames, the possibilities are vast. As a fire mage, you can:
Rebalance Strength: Clear and harmonise the energies within a person, restoring their natural equilibrium.
Cancel Black Magic: Neutralise harmful spells and negative intentions directed at individuals.
Free Protective Spirits: Release guardian spirits from bindings, allowing them to fulfil their protective roles.
Heal Suffering Spirits: Offer solace and healing to spirits in distress, guiding them towards peace.
Repel Enemies: Create barriers that reflect negative energies and intentions back to their source.
Open Paths for Materiality and Spirituality: Clear obstacles, paving the way for both material success and spiritual growth.
Burn Negative Energetic Cords: Sever harmful connections that drain energy and well-being.
Consecrate Natural Elements: Activate the magical properties of certain natural elements (excluding animal products, like feathers or bones.)
Reflect Black Magic: Turn malevolent forces back upon those who cast them. (The fire mage can only perform this on themselves)
Specific Magic Spaces: The Sacred Geometry of Divine Magic
Within this degree of Divine Magic, fire mages learn to craft specific magic spaces, each with its unique purpose and power.
You learn how each geometric shape affects the magic space in relation to the Divine Throne and the frequency it represents.
By using the correct candles, writing the correct sigils, and employing the appropriate geometry, spaces can be created for various purposes.
As mentioned previously, each magic space opened through Divine Magic will always help clear negative energies and promote healing and balance, because we’re dealing with such high divinity.
There are super specific magic spaces related to the Seven Sacred Flames, and I’ll list a few:
Close Black Holes in the Etheric Realm: Seal off negative portals that drain energy from a space.
Sanctify The Soil: Perform "Fechamento de solo" to establish a protective boundary around one's property, closing it off in the etheric realms.
Cleanse Heavy Spaces: Use the "Cata Tudo" (Grab Everything) technique to purify areas with dense, negative energy.
Close Natural Portals: Seal off natural portals that can lead to haunted houses or other areas where the veil between worlds is thin.
Cut Mirror Magic Spells: Neutralise spells cast using mirrors and employ mirrors as protective shields.
Activate Natural Elements: Harness the power of natural elements (excluding animal products) to enhance spells.
These are just a few examples!
When I moved into my home, I performed the "Cata Tudo" to clear all the energy. This magic space uses a crazy amount of candles!
Afterward, I did the "Sanctify The Soil" magic space to close off and mark my property, ensuring it was protected energetically.
The Healing Process: What to Expect from a Fire Mage
So what’s it like being treated inside a Seven Sacred Flames magic space?
The process involves several steps, some of which are performed by the fire mage alone, and others that involve the individual seeking healing.
Steps Performed by the Fire Mage:
Creating the Space: The fire mage begins by drawing lines and sigils, placing the correct candles, crystals, and elements in their respective poles to create a sacred area.
This physical space serves as the foundation for the healing process and gets activated in the astral and etheric planes.
Opening Ritual: The fire mage invokes and evokes certain divinities and guides, including the Spirit of Fire, to sanctify the space.
This ritual ensures that the space is now activated and charged with the highest divine energies.
Adding Determinations: Specific to each degree of magic, these instructions guide the flow of divine energy within the space.
Determinations can be carefully crafted to align with the individual's healing needs.
Clearing the Fire Mage: Now that the space is open, the fire mage enters to clear themselves of any unwanted energy first.
Steps Involving the Individual:
Entering the Magic Space: Once the space is prepared, the individual seeking healing enters the magic space.
The practitioner will guide them through the whole process. They are encouraged to relax and be open to the energies at play.
This typically takes around 15 minutes to get going. The energies within the space will start to cleanse and heal, addressing physical, emotional, and spiritual imbalances.
This may manifest as a feeling of uneasiness... you may feel really heavy, especially in the legs and feet.
The feeling of being inside a magic space is a strange one. Usually, there will be some calming music and incense to promote that spiritual connection.
It can be both a powerful and humbling experience and a great way to connect with the Universe.
Energetic Pass: The fire mage performs a spiritual cleanse and healing involving a consecrated candle.
Other elements can be used, there are many techniques available for this.
This process, known as an energetic pass, or spiritual pass (passe energetico), uses learned skills to purify and balance the individual's energy.
This all happens while you stand still in the magic space with your eyes closed. The candle acts as a conduit for the divine energies, enhancing the healing process.
During this time, individuals often feel a sense of warmth, lightness, and deep relaxation as the negative energies are cleared away.
Closing Ritual: Once the energetic pass is complete, and there are no more negative sensations like heaviness or pain, the individual can leave the space.
The fire mage then closes the ritual, sealing the divine energies within the individual and allowing the magical energy to continue its work even after the session.
When I perform a healing session, I find that the most profound transformations often occur during the energetic pass. When I get treated, it is my favorite part, for sure!
While the magic space is doing its thing, having the magical adept actively doing energy work doubles up as a profound experience.
I guess it depends on how sensitive you are to energy. For me, you really feel the swirling energies. You sense the blockages moving around, a pain in the back that migrates over to your shoulder and then melts away like scratching an itch you didn’t know you had.
You can feel the dense, negative energy being lifted away while the magic space charges you up.
By the end of the session, individuals often feel lighter, more balanced, and more connected to their true selves.
The healing process is not always immediate, and it may unfold over time as the divine energies continue to work within them.
In fact, most people will feel quite sleepy, and the healing kicks off with a good night’s sleep.
The secret is to trust in the process and remain open to the transformative power of the Seven Sacred Flames.
Imbuing and Enchanting: The Magic of Objects
A unique aspect of Divine Magic is the ability to imbue and enchant items within a magic space.
By placing objects such as jewellery, candles, or crystals into the sanctified area, they absorb the magical energy and determinations.
These enchanted items become vessels of divine power, holding the residual energy from the magic space.
For instance, I often imbue crystal bracelets and necklaces, transforming them into wearable mandalas.
These enchanted items hold their charge as long as they remain intact, serving as constant sources of protection and healing.

Divine Magic is all about tapping into higher energies to create shifts and changes that promote healing, protection, and transformation.
By working with these divine forces, fire mages can cleanse negative energies, heal deep-seated wounds, and imbue everyday objects with powerful, protective energies.
