Ever Heard the Phrase “Everything is Energy” or “Everything is Vibration”?
People often attribute these quotes to Einstein.
But guess what? He never said that.
The truth is, these ideas trace back to Dewey Larson, a figure frequently mentioned in the Law of One material.
Imagine our physical reality as just one side of a cosmic coin.
By delving into the concepts of space/time and time/space, we can unlock a deeper understanding of our spiritual journey.
In this post, we'll explore the basics of space/time and time/space, share the Law of One’s perspective, dive into Dewey Larson's theory, and reveal Ra’s insights on how these concepts shape our spiritual growth.
What is Space/Time and Time/Space?

Let's dive in.
Space/Time is our physical reality—the world we see and touch. It’s the manifested universe.
On the other side, time/space is the hidden reality. It's the unseen realm that lies beyond the veil.
When Ra speaks of space or time, they always mention them together as space/time or time/space. Here’s a definition straight from the Law of One:
Ra frequently references Dewey Larson and his physics throughout the material, offering a richer understanding of these concepts.
Dewey Larson’s Reciprocal System

The idea that everything in the universe is vibrating or in motion comes from Dewey Larson, who is mentioned throughout the Law of One material.
He introduced a theory called the Reciprocal System. The basic idea is that the universe is not made of matter—it’s all motion.
Think about how we often hear that atoms are mostly empty space.
There's that classic comparison: if the nucleus of an atom were the size of a pea, the electrons spinning around it would be as large as a football stadium.
This illustrates that physical reality is essentially empty space or vibration.
Or consider quantum physics, where zooming into something "physical" reveals that at the quantum level, things exist as both particles and waves.
This paradox shows that our reality lacks true solidity.
Dewey’s theory steps in here, proposing that there is no matter, really—everything is motion. Or vibrations.
What we perceive as tiny electrons spinning around a nucleus are simply manifestations of motion, like ripples in a pond. There is a flow to the universe, an invisible medium or fabric to our reality.
Dewey explains that space and time are parts of this motion of reality and are not separate from each other.
In fact, they are inseparable and reciprocal—meaning they affect each other equally.
What one does, affects the other.
Larson’s Theories: Understanding Space/Time and Time/Space
Because space and time are reciprocal and affect each other equally, Larson's theory suggests that since we have three spatial dimensions in space/time—length, width, and height—time/space also has three dimensions.
It’s mind-boggling to think that time would have different dimensions, but it does make sense.
In space/time, we have three dimensions, allowing us to move freely within them.
However, time for us here in space/time is linear and one-dimensional.
We can’t travel through time in different directions the same way we can travel through space; time just moves forward.
According to Larson’s theory, supported by the Law of One, in space/time this is true.
However, in time/space, this reality gets flipped.
Time becomes three-dimensional, meaning we can travel in different directions, but space becomes one-dimensional.
From a quantum perspective, where particles exist as waves simultaneously depending on what is being observed, this relationship mirrors that of space/time and time/space.
Space/time has particles, and time/space has waves.
The entity under observation exists in both space/time and time/space and flip-flops between these realms each and every moment.
So, as a multidimensional human being, you exist in both.
You are within this seemingly physical reality (particles or space/time) and also within the hidden realms of time/space.
It's like your physical reality is being manifested moment by moment by the vibrations (waves or time/space).
This is where the concept of co-creating your reality through raising your vibration and manifestation comes into play.
It’s how the metaphysical affects the physical.
UFOs and Time Travel

Within this framework of space/time and time/space, the Law of One explains how faster-than-light travel works, especially for beings more advanced than us.
Just as we are constantly moving in and out of space/time and time/space without realizing it, more evolved beings and their flying craft can travel vast distances in both space and time.
That’s why you see videos of UFOs instantly disappearing and phasing out of our space/time reality.
In a blip, they’ve flipped over into time/space, chosen their destination, and manifested in that specific location in both space and time.
An interesting way to understand how one might travel through time using the three-dimensional view is this: The Earth is moving through space and spinning, right?
It is moving through the solar system in a certain direction and gently rotating.
Now let’s say you blip into time/space.
When you move in a direction in time/space, you’re moving in a spatial sense to where the Earth will be in a future time.
Does that make sense?
As you blip back into space/time, you would be ahead of where you were before moving into time/space and therefore you would be in the future.
You moved forward in the three dimensions of time.
In the same way, you could move backward or into the past.
Hypothetically, you could choose to go round in circles and revisit the same time again and again.
David Wilcock: Where Science Meets Spirit
Credit must be given where it’s due.
This idea is intricately explained through David Wilcock’s work.
There is a lot of science in the Law of One material, and David has done extensive research and found hundreds of scientific references backing up what the Law of One discusses.
Through his books, especially "The Hidden Science of Lost Civilizations," which contains over 1,000 academic references, he explains the nature of the universe according to the Law of One philosophy.
Essentially, he provides scientific evidence to support the spiritual philosophy of the Ra Material.
It’s through his work that many people, including myself, have come to understand these complex concepts better.
David Wilcock has bridged the gap between science and spirituality, showing that the metaphysical insights from the Law of One can align with modern scientific understanding.
His research offers a comprehensive view of how ancient wisdom and cutting-edge science can come together to explain the nature of our reality.
Ra’s Perspective: Insights into Space/Time and Time/Space

As mentioned previously, Ra states that space/time is the visible and physical universe. Time/space, on the other hand, is metaphysical and invisible.
Interestingly, every time Ra mentions space or time, they always say: space/time or time/space — they always mention them together.
This is because they are intrinsically connected; they work together, just as Dewey Larson had theorised.
Ra explains that time/space is just like our space/time:
Just like there are physical laws that limit us in our physical world, so there are in the time/space reality.
The Purpose of Time/Space from a Law of One Perspective
Ra explains space/time and time/space in a slightly more complicated manner, but which aligns with the teachings and study of Dewey Larson and his physics explained above.
Ra goes on to talk a bit more about time/space:
Ra confirms that in the metaphysical time/space reality—the other side of the veil—you can’t move through space like we do here in the physical.
We’re in a type of immobile state.
The purpose is to be able to have a life review, to study our actions with the help of our Higher Self and spiritual guides.
In the time/space realm, we are capable of revisiting past experiences to distill learning from them and to begin healing ourselves so that we can program our next incarnations and so forth.
Time/Space in Healing and Life Review
Don, the questioner in the Law of One, asks a brilliant question regarding there not being a veil in time/space and how that relates to life review:
To explain what Ra said in simpler terms: Time/space is dedicated to life review, flipping through the chapters of life to forgive oneself and to learn.
However, to truly learn and forgive, one must do it within an incarnation, within space/time reality.
You need the material representation, and so time/space then plans out, with the help of the higher self, situations where one can learn these lessons in the practical sense.
We actually need the veil to protect our free will so that we choose to learn our lessons out of our own life experiences.
Ra highlights this further in a quote:
Space/time, then, or our physical real world, is the stage where we put our healing of self into action.
The veil of forgetting in space/time ensures that we are not immediately aware of our past lives and spiritual lessons, maintaining the integrity of our free will and allowing us to make genuine choices and learn from our experiences.
In essence, time/space provides the environment for reflection, healing, and planning.
While space/time offers the practical realm where these plans are put into practice through lived experiences.
This dynamic interplay between the two realms is crucial for the evolution of the soul, as it allows for both the theoretical understanding and the practical application of spiritual lessons.
Time/Space is Like Dreaming

When we fall asleep, we move into time/space.
Both Ra and Dewey Larson explain that in time/space, we can’t move through space like we do in space/time or the physical world, but we can move through time.
Falling asleep and dreaming is a great holographic representation of this.
When we fall asleep, our physical bodies stop moving and become immobile.
Yet, our consciousness wanders off and explores the realms of our psyche in three dimensions of time.
We may revisit events of the day, check in on childhood traumas that we still haven’t dealt with—almost like visiting old friends.
There are even times we might visit future events, which is where prophetic dreams come into play.
Or, you know when you have a dream that feels more than a dream, like being visited by beings of light, a checkpoint of the life review.
People even have out-of-body experiences (OBEs) or near-death experiences (NDEs) where they visit the other side, and life review is a huge part of this.
Time/Space in Films and TV
To further illustrate these concepts, let's look at how time/space is represented in popular culture.
There are many references to the relationship of space/time and time/space in movies and television.
I’m always on the lookout for and love deciphering pop culture when it relates to spiritual concepts.
Movies in themselves are like dreams anyway, and I love discovering the symbology of it all.
Here are a couple of examples of my favourites regarding time/space.
The Lord of the Rings: Frodo and the One Ring

My favorite movie series of all time.
When Frodo puts on the One Ring in "The Lord of the Rings," it’s like he’s flipping into time/space.
First off, he disappears from physical reality, just like when a UFO phases out of reality instantly.
Now he is in a realm that resembles reality but is light, grey, and wispy—an ethereal realm where the spirits of the ringwraiths reside.
The once hooded, cloaked, black figures with no face now have a completely different appearance; now you can see their faces, like you’re looking back in time at them.
To revisit the time/space analogy—if Frodo were to travel a great distance with the Ring on, according to the Law of One and Dewey Larson, after taking the ring off, he would have travelled not only in space but also in time.
Stranger Things: The Upside Down

The whole concept of the Upside Down in "Stranger Things" strongly relates to time/space.
However, I would suggest that it relates more to the lower astral realms.
This is a place where you get all the monsters and horrible thought forms that appear in the series.
In "Stranger Things," portals to the other side, called the Upside Down, appear.
In this realm, it’s like a mirror image of physical reality but filled with monsters and demons.
In Season 1, Will Byers gets stuck in the Upside Down and tries his best to communicate with the other side, the normal physical realm.
Referencing the time/space analogy—he’s in time/space, yet the others are in space/time and so they can’t see or communicate with each other.
There is even a scene in Season 4 where the characters go through one of the portals within someone's house.
Now it’s as if they have time-traveled and are in a past version of the house, moving through a memory in time almost.
The Takeaway Regarding Space/Time and Time/Space

Don, the questioner in the Law of One, was a physics university professor and pilot.
He goes into great detail in the Ra material on certain topics he was interested in.
Ra made it clear that the purpose of the Law of One material was to help us spiritually through their philosophy.
All this information regarding space/time and time/space and other concepts and details of the illusion we find ourselves in is not central to the main message. It is interesting, despite not hugely affecting our spiritual progression.
I’ll leave you with a final quote from Ra regarding this topic:
